LAURA E. BUCK, LA PLATA, DIES IN KIRKSVILLE Funeral Services for 79-Year Old Woman on Monday ---La Plata, Mo., Jan. 26.-Mrs. Laura Etta Buck, 79, died in a Kirksville Hospital this morning at 5:30. Funeral services will be held at the Christie Funeral Home here Monday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev. R. L. Prather, pastor of the Christian Church. Interment will be in the LaPlata cemetery. ---She was the daughter of D.S. and Anna Hadden and was born on a farm near Locust Hill on Feb. 12, 1873. She was married to Clarence Eugene Buck June 6, 1894. Three children were born to them all of whom are deceased. One daughter died in infancy, a son died Dec. 6, 1946, and another daughter, Eugenia, died Nov. 25, 1947. Her husband died Dec. 25, 1930 and two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. ---Surviving are one granddaughter, Doris E. Buck, of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, in Los Angeles, and three brothers, G.F. Hadden, of LaPlata, Arthur S. Hadden, of Eldorado, Ark., and J.W. Hadden, of Grand Junction, Colorado. ---The body is at the Christie Funeral Home. ------------------------------------------------ Note: A correction to Laura's obituary. Her son, Jesse Floyd Buck, died Dec. 6, 1945 instead of in Dec. 1946.
