Bio

LaVern H. Kimminau, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kimminau of Lawrence, was killed in a one car accident last Friday night on Highway 281 about 3 1/2 miles north of Blue Hill in Adams county (sic). He was alone at the time of the crash, apparently went to sleep or lost control of his car and it went off the road, over a 35 foot embankment and rolled into a pasture. The accident was discovered by two mail truck drivers about 6 a.m. Saturday. Kimminau was born Aug. 9, 1941 in Lawrence and was graduated from high school there in 1959. He was employed by the Nebraska Public Power System as a lineman at the time of his death. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kimminau; his brothers and sisters, Don, Paul, Connie, Julene and Mrs. Arnold Krebsbach, all of Lawrence; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brockman and Henry Kimminau, also of Lawrence. Services were held Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Stephen's Catholic Church south of Lawrence with Father John Kelly officiating and burial was made in the church cemetery.
