Bio
Services for William Arthur Lantz of Kennett will be conducted Saturday, October 2, at 2 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Reverend Russell Bragg officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Mr. Lantz died Wednesday at the Dunklin County Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Born Nove. 14, 1895, in Lynn, AR, he was the son of John F. Lance and Henrietta Ward Lance Sackett. In February 1947, he was married to Arlie Mantle Ragin in Powhatan, AR. Survivors include his widow, Arlie Lantz of Kennett; two sons, Frank Henry Atchley of Rochelle, IL and Joseph Ragin Atchley of Texas City, TX; five daughters, Fannie Hollingsworth of Texas City, TX, Ethel Birmingham of Flint, MI, Dixie Phillips of Coasegold, CA, and Mary Reeves and Kay Snipes, both of Kennett; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation begins tonight at 7:00 at the Boyd Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers for Saturday's services will be Jerry Snipes, Douglas Reeves, Wayne Nash, Bufford Snipes, Jewell Cook and W.T. Howard.
