Bio

Graveside service for Bessie L. Westwood, 94, will be today at 2 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park. Schanzenbach Funeral Home, Chewelah is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Westwood died Feb. 26 in Chewelah, her home for the past four years. She was born in Dixon, S.D., and made her home in Valley, Wash., for about 45 years. She was a member of the Camas Valley Grange at Springdale, Wash., and Sunset Senior Club at Ford, Wash. She attended Crossroads Community Church in Valley. Her husband, Thomas, died in 1985. Survivors include a son, Dan Edmonds of Valley; two sisters, Hester White of Clovis, Calif., and Margaret Fuehrer of Bradshaw, Neb.; and four grandchildren.
