Bio
Canby resident Keith Eugene Heyerly, 74, died August 29, 2006. Mr. Heyerly was born April 18, 1932, in Albany, to parents Jesse and Gladys (Berkey) Heyerly. He attended Hubbard school, graduating from Woodburn High. He married Goldie Garber in 1953. Mr. Heyerly was a partner of Needy Brick and Tile, where he worked for 26 years until retiring in 1995. He was a member of Zion Mennonite Church in Hubbard, and Gideons International, Clackamas unit. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, including attending grandchildren's events, working on projects, telling stories camping, fishing, music, and Bible reading. Survivors include, his wife, Goldie Heyerly of Canby; children and spouses, Gwen and Ed Peachey of Corvallis, Leon and Wanda Rohrer-Heyerly of Hubbard, and Patricia and Bruce Martens of Madras; grandchildren, Jesse and Jalisa Heyerly, Kyra and Shawnti Peachey; and sister, Shirley Gerig of Salem. A memorial service was held Sept. 2, at Zion Mennonite Church, and burial was at the Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery in Hubbard. Arrangements were under the direction of Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn. Remembrances have been suggested to Gideons International or Western Mennonite School.
