The Sumner County (Tennessee) News, Thursday, March 20, 1941. Page 1 Robert B. Wise Robert Brown Wise, Deputy Sheriff and prominent citizen of the 3rd Civil District of Sumner County, died at a hospital in Nashville early Sunday morniung, March 16, 1914. He had been ill about a week. Mr. Wise was born in Sunmer county, 62 years ago in the 4th Civil District and was educated in the Sumner County schools. The deceased engaged in farming until appointed deputy in 1916. Since 1920, until appointed deputy by Sheriff J.K. Reppy, Mr. Wise was engaged in the insurance business. The deceased possessed a pleasant personality and made friends easily. He was loyal and true to his friends who were saddened by his passing. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Jackson Wise, a son Earl Wise, granddaughter Juanita Wise all of Gallatin and a sister, Mrs. J. W. Campbell of Nashville. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon, March 17th by the Rev. W.E. Doss and Elder H. L. Olmstead. Burial was in the Gallatin Cemetery.
