Bio

Della's birth surname was Langston. Some time between 1900 and 1902 her father, Ezra Andrew Jackson Langston, shortened his name by dropping Langston and taking his middle name of Jackson as his surname. At that time his 10 children that had been born with the surname of Langston followed suit and also started going by the surname of Jackson.
