Francis H. Blassingham was born October 8, 1876 in Indiana, son of Thomas A. Blassingham and Confort America Williams. He died March 30, 1939 in Superior. His place of burial is unknown. FORMER RESIDENT HERE Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blassingham, and daughter, Charlene, drove over from Glenwood, Minn., Friday to visit with Register of Deeds and Mrs. Charles D. Blassingham. Then with Mrs. Blassingham they motored over to St. Croix Falls to visit another brother, D. J. Blassingham. In the meantime the genial register of deeds went to St. Paul. Saturday, he came back to Dresser Junction, joined the party at St. Croix Falls, and then the five came back to Barron. Frank Blassingham, a former resident of this county, is now a conductor on the "Soo" out of Glenwood. he left Barron county about twenty years ago, but never fails to get back at least once a year to visit old friends and renew old associates. Blassingham, 62, died suddenly at his home in Superior on Thursday morning, March 30, 1939, his wife finding him dead on the kitchen floor of their home. The deceased lived in Barron as a boy with his father and afterwards when a traveling salesman made his home here with his brother, the late Charles Blassingham. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Charlene, three brothers, Daniel J. of Ridgeland, Jack of Minneapolis, and Lawrence of St. Cloud, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. Dora Nichol of New Mexico. Funeral services were held Saturday at his home and the Cathedral of Christ the King at Superior and his remains were taken to Eau Claire for interment. Mrs. Anna Blassingham of Barron attended the services in company with D. J. Blassingham, son Will and daughter, Mrs. George Hill of Ridgeland.
