Amos Trussell Published in the Athens Review October 16, 1947 Funeral services for Amos Warren Trussell, who died at his home on the Malakoff highway near Athens Friday morning at 11:00 o'clock after an illness of nine months, were held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the First Methodist Church in Eustace. The services were conducted by the Rev. Keith Kellow, with interment in the Chinquapin Cemetery in Van Zandt County. The Hassell & Foster Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Trussell, a retired farmer, was born on September 12, 1885, in Van Zandt County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Josh Trussell, and lived in that county until 1923. He moved to Prairieville in that year and to Eustace in 1931. He lived in Eustace until 1945, when he moved to Athens. He was married to the former Miss Nancy Sapp on November 13, 1910, at Phalba. He had been a member of the Methodist church since 1909. Surviving are his wife; two brothers, Lee Trussell and Clayton Trussell of Haskell; one sister, Mrs. Frankie Carter of winters, and one grandson. Contributor: Wayne Smith
