HUNTINGTON Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon in Huntington LDS ward chapel for Glynn Arnold, 34, principal of Huntington elementary schools for two and a half years. Burial will be in the Lawrence Cemetery. Mr. Arnold died Sunday night in Price City hospital following an operation for intestinal trouble which developed after an operation for ruptured appendix and peritonitis March 31. His condition improved until the week preceding his death, which he suffered a relapse. He was born at Lawrence, October 17, 1898, and graduated from Central High School at Castle Dale after attending Huntington High School three years. He later attended the Utah Agricultural college and taught school in Lawrence and Huntington before becoming principal of Huntington elementary school in the middle of the 1930-31 term. He was to have taught in the high school next year. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mae Johnson Arnold; four sons and daughters; Jessie and Doris Arnold, by his first wife, Gary and Lamont Arnold by his second wife, all of Huntington; his father, William Arnold, Sr., Lawrence; seven brothers and sisters, Gomer Arnold, Cleveland; Darwin, Reid and William Arnold Jr., Lawrence; Mrs. Sylvia Oviatt, Elmo; Joseph Arnold,Hiawatha, and Mrs. Jennie Grundvig, wellington. His first wife, Mrs. Bertha Staker Arnold, and a young daughter died in 1929. Salt Lake Tribune (UT) June 1 1933. He married Bertha Ellis Staker 29 Nov 1919 in Lawrence, Emery, Utah Together they had the following children; Sylvia Gwen, Jessie and Mable Arnold. After Bertha died in 16 Jan 1929 he married Jennie Mae Johnson 17 Oct 1929 in Farmington, Davis, Utah Together they had two sons Gary and Lamont Arnold.
