Obit in Lake Charles American Press 6-20-2009 Lavern Odine "Maw Maw" Perkins, 75, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Westwood Manor Nursing Center, DeRidder. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, June 20 in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, DeRidder. Bro. Donnis Ashworth, Bro. Ronnie Perkins and the Rev. Brent Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery, DeRidder. Visitation will be from today until service time at the funeral home. She was a life-long resident of Beauregard Parish. She was married to her loving husband for 60 years. She is survived by her husband, Ebbie Perkins of DeRidder; son, Ebbie DeWayne and Brenda Perkins of DeRidder; daughters, Joyce and Garry Smith of Dry Creek, Juanita and Bruce Honea of DeRidder, Beverly Elizondo of Talihina, Okla., Peggie Russell of DeRidder; brothers, Jesse White of Rosepine, Huey White of DeRidder; sisters, Wanda Goins of Evans, Joy Gibson of Leesville, Glenda Cantrell of Rosepine; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Clint and Jane Perkins White.
