Copied with permission from: The El Reno Tribune -- June 14, 2009 Funeral services for Betty Allen of El Reno will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the El Reno Cemetery. Mrs. Allen died Thursday, June 11, 2009, in her home with her family by her side. She was born Dec. 18, 1932, in her parents home in Farmersville, Texas. Betty graduated high school from Sacred Heart Catholic High School and received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Oklahoma State University. Mrs. Allen was a longtime El Reno area resident and was a retired registered nurse from Parkview Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest McDonald and Ethel (Miller) McDonald Sumner; her husband, James R. Allen; and a daughter, Karen Allen. Survivors include two sons, James L. Allen and David L. Allen, both of El Reno; a daughter, Betty Joyce Perez of El Reno; a sister, Jimmie Kreizenbeck of Arapaho; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
