Bio
Julia Mae Baker was born in Scurry to Jim and Molly Lockaby on August 26, 1912 and passed away March 21, 2009 at the age of 96 years and 7 months. She was a Methodist by faith and she was married to Bud Baker on April 8, 1933. Julia is survived by her two sons: Alvin Baker of Scurry and Pat Baker and wife, Jo Nell, of Scurry; three grandchildren: Cindy Shefka and husband, Kevin, of Scurry, Jeff Baker and wife, Dena, of Plano and Beverly Caldwell and husband, Kyle, of Crandall; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Horace Lockaby of Richardson, TX and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Baker, and daughter-in-law, Patsy Baker, as well as five brothers and two sisters. Julia was employed for many years with Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman and she was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Kaufman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Monday, March 23, 2009 at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kaufman.
