QUANAH - Barbara Landers, 67, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, in Wichita Falls. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Wayne Hollinshead officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Landers was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Quanah to Lewis Horton and Dora Effie Belcher Jowers. She married Billy Jack Landers on June 3, 1960, in Quanah. Survivors include four sons, Shannon Landers of Dumas, Chris Landers of Virginia Beach, Va., Mark Landers of Quanah and Kenny Landers of Pawleys Island, S.C.; three brothers, Jerald Jowers and Earl Jowers, both of Quanah, and Tony Jowers of Abilene; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Christian Church, P.O. Box 356, Quanah, TX 79252. Amarillo Globe-News, June 6, 2009
