Bio

He married Ida Adeline Ainsworth on 10-15-1900 in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. Ida was the daughter of Margaret and John Ainsworth. Ida was 1/16 Cherokee. To this union were born two children: Ruby Cathreine Bishop b. 9-23-1902 in Paw Paw, Sequoyah County, OK and Ora May Bishop (born 3-3-1906 in LeFlore County, OK. After Elijah died in 1906, Ida married Nicholas H. 'Charles' Bowles. She is found on the 1910 census in LeFlore County, OK with her second husband, the two Bishop children, and one Bowles child. She is found on the 1920 LeFlore County, Oklahoma census. In addition to the two Bishop girls in the home, there are three Bowles children in the home. Ida died 12-14-1963 in LeFlore County, OK.
