Bio

Obituary from The Crawford Journal, Wednesday April 28, 1869 Mrs. Nelson, of Fairfield township, this county (Crawford Co., PA) died Thursday, the 18th inst., in the ninety-fourth year of age. She had been a resident of the county seventy two years. He husband Col. David Nelson, died about twenty years ago. She was in many respects a remarkable woman, and her mental facilities continued vigerous to the end She was proud and justly so, of her posterity, now consisting of eight children, seventy-six grand children and seventy two great-grand children. It was her boast that among the entire number there were not one infirm of mind or deformed physically. Her children were all present at her burial along with their companions
