Raymond married Agnes A. Heeg on 26 Sep 1928 in Sidney, Nebraska. They were the parents of two daughters. The Columbus, NE.Daily Telegram, January 11, 1966 JOSTES--Final rites for Raymond J. Jostes Funeral services for Raymond J. Jostes, 62, Platte Center resident who died Monday at St. Mary's hospital after a three week illness, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Platte Center. The Rev. John P. Downey will officiate, with burial in St. Patrick's cemetery. The body is to lie in state after 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home, where rosary will be prayed at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was born Feb 7, 1903, in Madison county, the son of John and Katie McPhillips Jostes, and was educated at Platte Center. Mr. Jostes was married to Agnes Heeg Sept. 26, 1928, at Sidney, and they had since resided at Platte Center. Mr. Jostes was a farmer. A member of St. Joseph's church, Mr. Jostes was affiliated with the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Delmar (Marilyn) Veik and Mrs. Arlyn (Rita) Borcher of Platte Center; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alvera Schrant of Kingsboro, Colo., and one brother, Leonard Jostes of Madison. His parents preceded him in death.
