George Wesley Chaney was born August 15, 1951 in the city of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, the third child and second son of John Daniel "JD" Chaney and Juanita Simmons Chaney. Birth years of George and his siblings are as follows: 1. Living Chaney, b: September, 1948 2. Living Chaney, b: 31 January 31, 1950 3. George Wesley Chaney b: 15 August 15, 1951 d: October 2, 1974 4. Living Chaney, b: October 2, 1957 George made his home in Mesquite, Dallas County, Texas. On October 2, 1974 he died in an early morning motor vehicle accident near Southlake, Tarrant County, Texas. His remains were interred in the Golden Cemetery, Golden, Wood County, Texas where his father and paternal grandparents were laid to rest. George was survived by his son, his mother and three siblings, a large extended family and a host of friends.
