From the Frankston Citizen September 16, 1993. Funeral services for Nealy L. Dickerson, 78, Chandler, formerly of Dallas and Poynor, were held Friday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Frankston with the Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating. Burial was in the Poynor Cemetery. Mr. Dickerson died Wednesday, Sept 9, in a Tyler hospital. He was born May 1, 1915 in Poynor, and had lived in Chandler since 1982. Mr. Dickerson served in the U.S. Army during World War ii and was a retired manager of an auto parts store in Dallas. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include hi wife, Patt Dickerson of Chandler; one son, Jimmy Dickers of Rapid City, S.D.; one daughter, Judy Carlisle of Chandler; one step-daughter, Betty Ellison of Dallas; six gandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were L.D. Dickerson, Nealy Dickerson, Dudley St. Clair, Richard Owens, Gary Stevens and Steve Miller.
