Alice Carrie Parks was born April 19, 1864 in Boliver, Ohio, the daughter of John M. & Mary Lash Parks. She married Lewis Whimpey, son of Isaac & Mary Lewis Whimpey, on July 16, 1882 in Chester, Ohio. Their children included: John O., Mary E., Glenwood O., Carrie Edna and Ruth A. Whimpey.Alice died in Cleveland, Utah of pneumonia, January 7, 1931 age 66 years, 8 months & 18 days. __________________________ -published in The Salt Lake Tribune January 9, 1931 MRS. ALICE PARKS WHIMPEY CLEVELAND- Mrs. Alice Parks Whimpey, 66, a resident here for 40 years, died at her home Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the ward chapel, with interment in the Cleveland City cemetery, under direction of the Deseret mortuary. Mrs. Whimpey was born April 18, 1864, a daughter of John and Mary Lash Parks. Surviving are her husband, Lewis Whimpey, and four children; John Whimpey, Cleveland; Mrs. Mary Conrow, California; Mrs. Carrie Cowley, Price, and Mrs. Ruth Moran, El Paso, Texas
