Interment was at Oak Shade Baptist Church, Cleveland. She was born March 17, 1920 in Evergreen, Texas, the daughter of George Clinton and Mary Smith. She passed away on Friday, August 3, 2007. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jodie Lee Franklin; her son, Roy Evans Jr.; one sister and three brothers. Survivors include her seven children, Doyle Clinton Evans Sr. and wife, Myrtle Faye, Josephine Bell and husband, Willard, Bobby Joe Franklin and wife, Patricia, Lindon Russell Franklin and wife, Wanda, Frances Gobert and husband, Tommy, Linda Jean Armitage and husband, Henry, and Betty Ann Bell; sisters, Rosa Lee Jordan, Dillie Mae Smith, Bonnie Faye Brinniger and Velora Douglas Amos; and many other cherished family members and caring friends. Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, was in charge of arrangements.
