Bio
Christine C. Polansky, 88, of West, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009, in West. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian burial celebrated 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Christine was born in West, Texas, to the late Otto John and Annie M. (Bezdek) Pustejovsky. She attended Abbott High School. She was united in marriage to John J. Polansky on Nov. 4, 1941, in West, and to this union, ten children were born. She was a homemaker and farmer. Christine loved to work and lived a simple life, sewing, gardening, cooking, listening to the birds sing, and enjoyed animals. She also loved to take care of her grandchildren. She was a member of KJZT #11, St. Anne's Altar Society, CDA #829, and St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She is preceded in death by her husband on July 12, 2007; two grandchildren, Joseph and Mary Mach; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Soukup Polansky; great-granddaughter, Jamie Leann Jares; grandson-in-law, Greg Jares; and brother, Frank Pustejovsky. Survivors include sons, Joe Polansky and wife, Lillian, John H. Polansky, Robert Polansky and wife, Elizabeth, and Bill Polansky and wife, Josephine, all of West; daughters, Annie Mach and husband, Robert, of Mart, Georgia Hutyra and husband, Robert, Christine Mynarcik and husband, Jerry, Frances Nors and husband, George, Mary Lucien and husband, Ron, all of West, and Janie Bottoms and husband, Wade Jr., of Speegleville; 30 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Henry Pustejovsky and wife, Willie Mae, of Hillsboro, Wesley Pustejovsky and wife, Janell, of Houston, Clement Pustejovsky and wife, Rita, of Kansas City, Mo, and John Pustejovsky and wife, Mary, of Abbott; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
