Richard Brown believed son of John Thomas and Anne (Wilson) Brown was married the first time to Elizabeth Nancy Thompson, daughter of Robert and Ann Thompson on 30 Jan 1839 in Rutherford Co., TN, this union producing five known children. Sarah, Mary E "Polly" Mabry, Robert A, Joseph Thompson and Nancy A "Nannie" Moore. The 1880 census of Rutherford Co., TN shows him with a second wife Jane, no known children of that union.
