Joseph Emmett Cannada and Amanda E. Moroney Cannanda on March 12, 1901 in Roxton, Texas. He married Edna Coplin on December 31, 1921. They had 2 children. PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, November 15, 1978. 'Melford C. (Bully) Cannada Sr. of Rt. 1, Roxton, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Roxton, conducted by the Rev. Rick Seals of First United Methodist Church in Roxton, and the Rev. David Griffin of Bogata, a former pastor at Roxton. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery at Roxton by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Mr. Cannada was born March 12, 1901, at Roxton, son of Joseph Emmitt (Emm) Cannada and the former Amanda Maroney. He was married to Miss Edna Coplin on Dec. 31, 1921, at Roxton. He had lived in the Roxton area all his life. He was a longtime member of the first United Methodist Church at Roxton, having served 17 years as chairman of the board of trustees. Mr. Cannada was a retired farmer and was a member of the Soil Conservation Service, where he served as chairman of the board for some 13 years. Survivors include his wife; o ne daughter, Mrs. Robert H. McDougal of Paris, one son, M. C. Cannada Jr. of Rt. 5, Paris; four granddaughters, Mrs. Terri Darnell of Paris, Mrs. Sherry Bailey of Rt. 5, Paris, Miss Tammy Cannada of Rt. 5, Paris and Miss Kellye Lee McDougal of Paris; two grandsons, Robert H. McDougal Jr. of Paris and Monty Craig Cannada of Rt. 5, Paris, and two great-grandchildren.'
