Amanda married Joseph Emmitt Cannada, who was the son of William F. Cannada and Hannah Davis Cannada. Hannah was the daughter of A.J. 'Jacky' Davis and his first wife, Jane. The parentage of Amanda is unknown except that her maiden name was Moroney. She was born in Alabama and married Joseph in Lamar County, TX on 14 Dec 1893. Marriage Record for J. E. Lafayett Maroney was born Oct 1845 Marshall Co, AL and died 9 July 1911 Paris, Lamar Co, TX. He was the son of John A. Maroney and unknown mother. Susan Fletcher was born 5 Sep 1848 and died 3 June 1904 and is buried in the old Denton Cemetery. Lafayett M. Maroney married the widow Dixie E. Parkhill Brown on 9 Dec 1909 and she died 25 Mar 1935 and is buried in the Honey Grove Cem. in Fannin Co, TX. Amanda E. and Joseph Emmett Canada are on the 1900 and 1910 Lamar Co, TX census record with the following children: Ora born 1898, Milford born 1900, and Emmett born 1906.
