Bio
Rhoda Davis Rush was the daughter of Andrew J. and Jane Davis. She was born in Tennessee on June 15, 1833. She married John Rush Jr. in 1851. Following their marriage they moved to near Cairo, Pulaski Co., IL, along with her parents, where they resided about six years. The parents moved to Lamar County, Texas and John and Rhoda joined them about 1859-60. Rhoda's family was of strong and vigorous Welsh strain. She is 1 of 9 known children of Andrew's children. Rhoda and John Rush Jr. had 7 children. Rhoda died August 20, 1879, cause of death was the measles.
