Pauline Jochims Dec. 3, 1922-Dec. 27, 2005 Pauline H. Jochims, age 83 of Danbury, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Battle Creek, Iowa. Services were held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury with Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Burial was in the Danbury Catholic Cemetery. A rosary by St. Mary's Rosary Society was held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29 and a Vigil Wake Service was at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Pauline Helen Jochims was born December 3, 1922, in Danbury, Iowa to Charles and Maimie (Lille) Treiber and was a lifelong area resident. She married Ervin Jochims September 19, 1944 at St. Mary's Rectory in Mapleton, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Mapleton and Danbury community until 1974 when they moved into Danbury. Ervin died July 12, 1989. Pauline worked at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton and for the Maple Valley School Hot Lunch Program in Mapleton and Danbury. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury where she was baptized and confirmed, as well as St. Mary's Rosary Society and St. Mary's Choir. She liked to play cards and belonged to the Highland Ladies Pitch Club since 1947, as well as the Euchre Club and the 500 Club, all of Danbury. She and her husband, Ervin loved to dance, especially square dancing. Survivors include a son and his wife, Roger and Chris Jochims of Mapleton; a daughter and her husband, Gaylene and Tom Brouillette of Danbury; six grandchildren, Jason Jochims and his wife, Kathy, Jody Kleiger and her husband, Randy, Jess and Josie Jochims, and Brian and Sara Jo Brouillette; and four great-grandchildren, Hannah Jochims, Lauren Kleiger, Rebecca Jochims, and Samantha Kleiger; plus several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Paulette Jochims; an infant brother, Raymond Treiber; a sister, Caroline Treiber Uhl; a brother Carl Treiber and his wife, Bernice; a sister-in-law, Pearl Jochims and a great grandson, Frank Ervin Jochims. The greatest pleasures in Pauline's life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were Jody Kleiger, Josie Jochims, Sara Brouillette, Kathy Jochims and Randy Kleiger. Pallbearers were Jason Jochims, Jess Jochims, Brian Brouillette, Randy Jochims, Tim Treiber and Todd Treiber.
