KATHLEEN BRILL ALLEN 1919 – 2005 Kathleen "Kat" Brill Allen died July 8, 2005 after a courageous battle with heart disease. Kathleen was born April 21, 1919 in Beulah, FL as the second child of ten children. The Brill family then moved to Elsanor, AL. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Vernon, parents, Walter & Mattie Mae Waters Brill, grandson, Randal Allen, brothers, Nolan & Jimmy Brill, Sisters Mattie Mae Bargineare & Della Stewart, son-in-law Nick Busey. Survivors include 3 daughters, Lois Busey Pensacola, Fl, Thelma & Rev. Leon Patrick, Summerdale, AL. Nancy & Rev. Ken Kozbiel Pensacola, Fl. 3 sons Rev. Jack & Mary Pensacola, Fl, Rev Thomas & Carolyn, Pearl River, LA, Edmond & Evelyn Robertsdale, AL. Brothers, Alto & Ima Jean, Otto & Ruth, Nick & Maxine all of Robertsdale, Al. Walter of Goldsboro, NC. Sister Joann & Kenneth Steiner of Robertsdale, AL. 20 grandchildren, Kathy Sims, Carl Busey, Martha Lister, Moneica Fowler, Norman Patrick, Debbie Holman, Karen Campbell, Brenda Kozbiel, Kimberly Burgozne, Mike, Kevin, Keith & Kyle Allen, Ron Cook, Ronda McNeill, Regina White, Jeannie Chianese, Jim & Jeff Kizbiel. 31 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Kathleen was a devoted member of Farm Hill United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was a certified Lay Speaker President of United Methodist Women, served on Administrative Board, Sunday School teacher, Choir member and representative to United Methodist Church Annual Conference. She was a member of Eastern Star, Florence Center Chapter, formerly of Cantonment Chapter, Her joy was to attend all retreats at Blue Lake United Methodist Camp and has a memorial there. She was a strong advocate of world missions, helping those in need, cooking huge meals, laughing, singing, spreading joy and exhibited the power to enable everyone to accomplish the highest goals. Grandson will serve as pallbearers, Carl Busey, Norman Patrick, Mike Allen, Kevin Allen, Kyel Allen, Keith Allen, Ron Cook and Earl Holman. We extend our heart felt thanks to the staff at the University Hills. Thank you to Covenant Hospice for the never ending and compassionate care of all the staff who assisted us through this difficult time. To the RN's Ruth Gates, Betty Ward, Carol Stinson and Sue Wilkerson. Social worker Liz Rice, Rolando Harris, Chaplin Gary Garland and her very special HHA who was her delight to see each day, Cathy Allison. Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2005 at Mack's Funeral Home Robertsdale, AL from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Farm Hill United Methodist Church, Muscogee Road, Cantonment, FL with Rev. John Kuritz and Covenant Hospital Chaplain Gary Garland officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope United Methodist Church in Bell Fountain, AL.
