State Line Tribune – December 9, 1994 – Page 2 SALEETA HUGHES Funeral services for Saleeta Hughes, 84, Texico, were held Sunday at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis. The Rev. Carl Treat officiated. Burial was in Texico Cemetery. Mrs. Hughes died Dec. 2 at High Plains Nursing Center. She was born May 27, 1910, in Brock, Okla. She married Jim Hughes on July 28, 1927 in Ardmore, Okla. She was a member of Hamlin Memorial United Methodist Church of Farwell. Surviving are a son, Hollis, of Moran, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Pete. Casket bearers were her grandsons.
