Bio

DeForrest Meyers was born in 1910 in Walker County, Georgia, USA, the son of Jesse Lee Meyers (1880-1928) and Beulah [Pryor] Meyers (1887-1915). He grew up on a farm in Copper Heights, Georgia and was a farmer. On 22 July 1931 he was the victim of a gun shot wound to the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital in Chattanooga but due to the extent of his injuries and the amount of blood that he lost, they were unable to save him and he passed away on 23 July 1931 in Chattanooga, Hamilton, Tennessee. He was 20 years of age. He was laid to rest in the Coulter Memorial Cemetery in Cassandra, Walker, Georgia.
