Bio

Jack Graham McMillan went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Levelland Hospital after a brief illness. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 at Fifth Street Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Prather, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of George Price Funeral Home. Jack was born on January 17, 1930 to William Neil McMillan and Myrtle McMillan Reid in Levelland. He married Barbara Ann Cunningham on October 7, 1949. They were happily married for 59 years. In 1951, Jack was drafted into the United States Army and after boot camp and training as a radio technician, he served his country for 13 months in the Korean War. On September 11, 1955, Jack and Barbara were blessed with a son James "Jimmy" Neil McMillan. On January 22, 1958, they were blessed with a daughter Jackie Ann McMillan. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Loma Richards; a brother, Gordon McMillan; sisters, Ila Mae Hicks and Sarah Jo Hale; as well as a great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Taylor . Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara of Levelland; a sister, Hazel Cookston of Levelland; a son, Jimmy and wife Aggie McMillan and daughter Jackie McMillan, all of Levelland; five grandchildren, Dustin Taylor of Morton, Graham McMillan of Levelland, Patsy Ann Vuicich of Midland, and Acie Scott of Levelland; as well as five great-grandchildren and a host of friends and family.
