Bud Welch, 42, son of "Uncle" Dick Welch of Cross Roads, was killed in an accident Monday morning at Cross Roads when a flywheel jumped off a wood saw while he was at work. The accident occurred at 10 o'clock and death came an hour later. Others were assisting in sawing the wood but none of the others were injured. The Welch home is about a mile this side of Cross Roads. Killed when a saw that was erected on frame work flew off the shaft, striking him in the chest. Mr. Welch was standing directly in front of the wheel. Mr. Welch is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters. His father and five brothers and five sisters also survive.
