PRAGUE – Raymond Sedlacek, 87, of Prague, died Nov. 20 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City. Ray was born Jan. 27, 1920 to Frank and Teresa (Stach) Sedlacek at Malmo. The family later moved to Rossville, Kan., where he attended school. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He lived in Scraton, Kan., until retiring and moving to Prague in 1987. He was a life member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, a young brother, Victor, brother, Zdenek (Sid) Sedlacek and brothers-in-law, Alvin Elsik and Anton Anderly. It was Ray's desire to have no service. His body was cremated and a private family burial will take place. Kucera-Kracl Funeral Home of Prague was in charge of the arrangements. Published by Wahoo Newspaper from Dec. 18 to Dec. 26, 2007.
