Bio
Jaroslav "Sid" Sedlacek, 95, of Holton, Kansas, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at his home in Holton. He was born April 28, 1922 in Abie, Nebraska, the son of Frank and Theresa (Stach) Sedlacek. Sid graduated from Rossville High School in 1940. After high school, he served in the United States Army during WW II. After his enlistment in the Army, he came home to his family farm in the Whiting area where he continued to farm for over fifty years until his retirement in 2000. Sid was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Libbie Elsik and Viola Anderly; three brothers, Zdenek, Raymond and Victor Sedlacek; and one nephew, Dale Elsik. Sid is survived by one brother, Louis Sedlacek of Prague, NE; three nieces, Pam Todd of Midlothian, TX, Susan Anderly of Phoenix, AZ, and Kelly Luth of Little Rock, AR; five nephews, Alvin Elsik of San Antonio, TX, Gary Anderly of Phoenix, AZ, Steven Anderly of Phoenix, AZ, and Russell Sedlacek of Lincoln, NE. A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held at Prague National Cemetery in Prague, Nebraska at a later date mary had a little lamb
