Bio
Mr. Rupert Samuel "Pewter" Campbell, 77, a native of Pippins and resident of Robertsdale died Feb. 26. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Faye Conner, Fresno, CA; Lola Mae Welch, Sacramento, CA and Clara Jean Stokes, Jacksonville, FL; three sons, Johnnie Campbell, Robertsdale; Sammie Campbell, Gulf Shores and Ronnie Campbell, Sacramento, CA; one sister, Myra Jane Duet, Layfayette, LA; four brothers, Russell, Bill, Carzine and Bennie Lee Campbell, all of Robertsdale; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Feb. 28 from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home with John McDuffie officiating. Interment was in Hail Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Mack Funeral Home of Robertsdale. Published March 5, 1986, The Independent, Robertsdale, Alabama
