ELLA CHILDRESS ROBERTSDALE — Ella Childress, a native of Butler County and a resident of Robertsdale, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999. She was 93. She is survived by a daughter, Doris Stapleton; a son, Julius Childress; a sister, Ethel Miles, all of Robertsdale; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mack Funeral Home Chapel in Robertsdale. Burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Robertsdale Building Fund.
