Bio

Mr. Hurta was 79 years of age. He was born in Taylor, Texas, and lived hs childhood years on their farm in Taylor. He served his country in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 in the 300 Field Artillery, "Cowboy Cannoneers." He was a member of the SPJST Lodge 88, VFW Post, The Men's Club, the American Legion Post # 324 and Carpenters local 213. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Valeria; his parents, Charles and Carrie Hurta; his brothers, Roy, Charlie and Rhode; and sisters, Ruby and Mildred. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bette; son and daughter-in-law Kirby and Kelli; grandchildren; mother-in-law; one brother and eight sisters, and numerous other relatives.
