Bio
Willie was the second of four children born to Ernie English and Mary Lee (Birdsong) Boatright. He married Elizabeth Birdsong in 1941. The Pulaski Citizen, Tennessee April 12, 1961 Willie English Boatright, 48, died Thursday, April 8, at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville, of injuries received earlier that day when a tractor overturned on him at his farm near Lynnville. Funeral services were conducted at 1 o'clock Saturday at McDaniel Funeral Home, Cornersville, by the Rev. James E. Eddings and burial was in Lynnwood Cemetery at Lynnville. Boatright was dragging logs with the tractor when it over-turned, crushing his chest. He was treated at Giles County Hospital and then removed to Vanderbilt, where he died at 6 p. m. The accident occurred about 11 o'clock Thursday morning. A native of Giles County, he was the son of E. E. and Mary Lee Birdsong Boatright of Lynnville, who survive. Other survivors are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Birdsong Boatright; three daughters, Misses Carolyn, Lunette and Deborah Boatright; three sons, Donald, Steven and Kelvin Lane Boatright, all of Lynnville; one sister, Mrs. James Ingram of Pulaski; and three brothers, Floyd, Ralph and Dean Boatright of Lynnville.
