Bio

I believe this is Mary Ann Burns Williams, wife of George W. Williams of Winston County, Alabama. After the death of George Williams, probably about 1895, Mary Ann married Daniel Hill, about 1898, in Winston County. If this is the case, her age would be understated by about 20 years. The grave marker states "She was a Hill when she died." Mary Ann Burns Williams was born Feb 1858 in Jefferson County, AL, daughter of Calvin Burns and Missouri Malinda Burns. She had siblings; William A., Lucretia E. (died bef 1870) Amanda Almeda E., Emily and a brother named Grant. Her parents were married 5-Nov-1853 in Jefferson County, AL. Her father, Calvin Burns, was a Civil War Soldier, Private, Confederate Troops, 1st Regment, Confederate Engineer Troops, Company C. Enlisted 1864. Mary Ann Burns and George W.
