Theodore Roberts Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 21, 1990 at the Phillips United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Phillips Cemetery. OBITUARY: Theodore Roberts Theodore Lynn Roberts, the son of Thomas and Eleanor (Caulkins) Roberts, was born at Phillips, Nebraska, on February 17, 1929, and passed away at Lincoln, Nebraska, on December 18, 1990, at the age of 61 years, 10 months and one day. He attended grade school at District #86, near Phillips, and graduated from Phillips High School. He then farmed with his parents in the Phillips area. In 1949, he was united in marriage to Ruth Nelson, and continued farming in the Phillips area. On September 25, 1965, he married Elaine Arnett at Phillips, and they farmed, before moving to Smith Center, Kansas, where they operated the Smith Center Lanes bowling alley for 2 years, and then in 1970 they moved to the Lincoln area. For the past 14 years he was a custodian of Raymond Central Schools. Ted was a member of the Lakeview United Methodist Church. He was an avid bowler, and he enjoyed watching sports at Raymond Central School. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Dean and Warren Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Elaine, of Lincoln; and their children, Melinda Roberts and Janet Lundholm, both of Lincoln; his three children by his first marriage, Randy Roberts of Beaver Crossing, Debra Reiser of Grant, and Diana Brodbeck of Ogallala; two brothers, Leonard of Malcom and Wilbur of Grand Island; one sister, Ruth Sanguin of Gering and 3 grandchildren.
