Mass for Dolores Friske, age 101 of Muenster is set for 10:00 AM, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Ken Robinson officiating. Rosary and vigil will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Scott Funeral Home of Muenster. Mrs. Friske died Thursday, October 6, 2016. Dolores Elizabeth (Mosman) Friske was born October 1, 1915 in Lindsay, Texas on the family farm. She attended St. Peters, Van Slyke and Gainesville High School. She learned to make bread at the age of 9 and worked as a cook for the threshers as a young lady. She married Arnold Friske in 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They had 2 daughters, Gwen and Elaine. Arnold and Dolores worked in the defense plant during WWII. They returned to their dairy farm after the war. Dolores enjoyed gardening and cooking her whole life. She stayed busy painting or crocheting. She was an active member of the rosary guild and has always loved attending Mass. She moved to Muenster in 1999 and enjoyed having family and friends visit. Dolores is survived by her: daughter, Gwen and husband, Loyd Trubenbach of Muenster; grandchildren: Lisa and Kim Walterscheid, Jean and Glenn Walterscheid, Toni and Adam Deweber, George and Margaret Dadderio, Sonja and Chris Herne, and John and Lanie Dadderio; twenty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Alleen Anderson of Red Oak, TX; and brother Ray and wife, Lorie Mosman of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Henry Friske, daughter, Elaine Antone Dadderio; sisters: Leona Mages, Annabele Springfield, Juanita Hansen, Stella Mosman; brothers: Frank, Herbert, Alfred, Clarence, Robert, Leo, and Alfred Joseph Mosman; and granddaughter Beverly Sterling. Pallbearers are: Dustin Walterscheid, Bret Walterscheid, Garrett Walterscheid, Collin Walterscheid, Derek Dadderio, Christopher Dadderio, Tanner Dadderio, Carter Herne, and Jack Herne.
