Bio
Services for J.D. Hart, 78, of Gail will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with the Rev. Richard Laverty, Baptist Church in Friona, officiating. Burial will be in Gail Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. He died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Covenant Lakeside Hospital in Lubbock, after a lengthy illness. He was born March 21, 1921, in Seminole. He married Irene Sullenger on Jan. 15, 1944, in Tahoka. She preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 1996. He was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of American Legion in Post. He was a Baptist. Survivors include four sons, Sidney Hart of Gail, Ronnie Hart of Post, Kenneth Hart of Ruidoso, N.M., and Jay Hart of Munday; seven sisters, Lena Crenshaw and Birdie Wade, both of Snyder, Hattie Lee Prather of Vinita, Okla., Bennie Prather of Olton, Johnnie Lee Hart of Big Spring, Vera Nell Harless of Abilene and Patty Jean McCormack of Snyder; a brother, Rufus Hart of Snyder; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
