Bio

Thelbert Hilton, 69, of Moss Hill died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at home after an extended illness. A native of Polk County, he was born April 6, 1937 to parents, Walter and Claudia Davis Hilton. He had been a life long resident of the Moss Hill area, had worked many years for the Hardin Water Corp., enjoyed gardening, fishing and doing yard work. He was a member of the Hardin United Pentecostal Church. Services for Mr. Hilton will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2006 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Moss Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hilton was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Claudia Dale; brother: Curtis Hilton and son: Walter Harold Hilton. He is survived by his wife: Bettie Hilton of Moss Hill; sons: Thelbert Lee Hilton and wife Carolyn Ruth of Saratoga, Clarence Hilton and wife Carolyn of Saratoga, James David Hilton and wife Carolyn Sue of Saratoga; daughter: Rose Marie Davis and husband Tommy of Water Valley, Mississippi; grandson that lives with the Hiltons: J.D. Hilton of Moss Hill. Eleven grandchildren: Clarence Hilton, Jr., Matthew Hilton, Chris Hilton, Nellie Johnson, Jessica Fregia, Sheena Roth, Brandon Davis, Haley Davis, Amanda Hilton, Kristina Hilton, and Stephanie Hilton; two great-grandchildren: Bryce Hilton and Seth Fregia. Visitation for Mr. Hilton will be Thursday, June 1, 2006, 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Tx.
