Bio

Lawrence Palmer, 59, died in St. Elizabeth Hospital Nov. 15, 1929, following an operation Saturday. Mr. Palmer was born in the Town of Brookfield, son of the late Herman and Laura Brown Palmer. He was graduated from the local high school, attended Colgate Academy and then entered Cornell University, but after a year and a half he was forced to give it up because of ill health. In 1920 he married Zua Tuttle, Columbus, and bought the home farm of his stepmother, Mrs. Julia Palmer, where he had since lived. His wife died in 1924. Later he married Helen Billidieu of Albany. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; a son, Meade; his step-mother and the following half brothers and sisters; H Sherrill Palmer, William J. Palmer, Brookfield; Mrs. Lillian Witter, Frankfort; Mrs. Irving Baldwin, Brookfield; Miss Roslyn Palmer, Binghamton, and Miss Adele Palmer, Brookfield. The funeral will be at 2 o'cloclk Satrday from the First Baptist Church. The pastor, the Rev. William D Clough, will officiate and burial will be in the Brookfield Cemetery.
