Jeff was a veteran of World War I. Jeff married Vivian Hughes and their children were Rebecca Ruth and Jeff Donald Hardin. OBIT; Childress – Funeral service for Jeff D. Hardin, age 76, was held at 2;30 p.m. Sunday from Newberry Funeral Home Chapel conducted by E. A. Sanders, pastor of the Kirkland Church of Christ. Interment was in the Childress Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lonnie Elkins, L. H. Clifton, Mayland Foard, E. D. Hill, Loy Boen and B. P. Henderson. Mr. Hardin died at 1:05 p.m. ‘Friday, March 13th in the Childress General Hospital. He resided at 1300 Avenue K. Northwest and was a retired farmer. Born April 11, 1893 in McKinney, Mr. Hardin moved to Childress County in 1916 from Quanah, settling near Kirkland and later moving to the Community Center area and farming. He married Vivian Hughes December 25, 1920 in Merit. Mr. Harden was a member of the Church of Christ, American Legion and was a World War I veteran. Survivors include his wife, Vivian; one son, Jeff Donald Hardin of Amarillo; one daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Llewellyn of San Diego, California; one sister, Mrs. Ona Webb of Fort Worth, and four granddaughters, Deborah, Susan and Mya Llewellen and Deanne Hardin..
