Funeral services fro Elvin Leon Sills, 78 of Wills Point, will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2008 in the Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow in the Morrow Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Clayton Bros. of Kaufman. Mr. Sills was born May 23, 1933 in Palmer, Texas to the late Elvin Leon, Sr. and Ada B. Sills and passed from this life on November 19, 2008 in Canton, TX. He became a resident of Kaufman County at the age of 7, the last fifteen years he was a resident of Wills Point and served in the US Marine Corp in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Sills, sister, Lona Reed, and his daughter, Levon Grean. Survivors include his wife Glenda Sills of Wills Point; daughters, Linda Putman and her husband Randall of Wills Point, and Verla Johnson and her husband Paul of Loraine, TX; sons, Kenneth Sills and his wife Donna of Wills Point, John Sills and his wife Lisa of Kaufman, and Destry Sills and his wife Raunada of Grand Saline; ten grandchildren, Randall, B.J., and Jamie Putman, Jennifer and Brandon Sills, Jordan, Lauren, and Kimberlin Johnson, Destry and Autumn Sills; several great grandchildren; sister Effie Jennings and his faithful dog Rambo. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jamie Putman, Randall Putman, B.J. Putman, Jordan Johnson, Destry Scott Sills, and Brandon Sills.
