Bio
Gail E. Thompson, age 62, of Versailles, passed away Wednesday morning, February 23, 2005 at his home. He was born November 6, 1942 at Enon, Missouri, the son of Hadley H. and Stella Hardcastle Thompson. He married Lynda A. Peoples. On December 7, 1989 he married Loretta "Rita" Braden, who preceded him in death on February 8, 1995. Gail retired in 1995 as a supervisor for Solar Optical where he worked for 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by one son, David Thompson of Versailles; three brothers, Lloyd Thompson of Fulton, Wayne Thompson of Versailles, and Glen Thompson of Nebraska City, Nebraska; two sisters, Joyce Monfort of Eldon, and Coleen Lee of Centerview, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Thompson, and one sister Doris Birdsong. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Interment will be in the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
