The Waco News Tribune Waco TX Monday Oct 16, 1967 Page 5 W R Michum Dies: Rites Set Tuesday W R (Uncle Bill) Michum of 1810 Old Dallas Road died at 4:45 am Sunday in a local hospital after a lengthly illness. He was 84. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Connally Chapel. Rev. Roy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Hill Cemetery at Prairie Hill. Mr. Michum was a retired Katy Railroad employee. He was born July 17, 1883 in Bell County. He had lived in Waco since 1944. He was a Baptist and a member of Prairie Hill Masonic Lodge. Survivors are his daughters Mrs. Lawrence Kiggans of Killeen and Mrs. George B Menzies of 1810 Old Dallas Road, one son Jack Michum of 1814 Old Dallas Road, one sister, Mrs. Donie Hardison of Mexia, 19 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren and ? great great grandchildren Grandpa Michum was born in now ghost town Old Howard once located in Bell County TX His parents left Old Howard to come to Watt in Limestone Co TX in 1884 when he was just a little tot.
