Bio

Exie Phillips, age 94 of Eros, LA. passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the Landmark Nursing Center in West Monroe, LA. She was the wife of the late Clarence Phillips and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marie Thornell Perritt; her grandson, Kenneth Thornell; and 7 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Eros, LA and was precious to her family. She was a wonderful Mama, Mamaw, Great grandmaw, and a special friend to many. She will be truly missed. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, George Phillips and wife Betty of Eros, LA.; her grandchildren, Sandy Stuckey and husband Danny, Jim Phillips and wife Tammy, Barbara Shurling and husband Reg, Sheldon Thornell and wife Carla, and John Phillips; her great-grandchildren, Mandy Lowe, Bryan Phillips, Lindsay Allen, Colby Phillips, Alexis Stuckey, and Dillon Phillips; and her great-great-grandchildren, Denver and Chloe Lowe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Community of Christ Church in Eros, LA with Ellis Lewis and Greg McManus officiating.
