- James "Bud" Phillips, 60, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, in a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Laurie Flittie; son Michael Phillips of San Angelo; daughter Freyja Phillips Naler of Blue Springs, Mo.; and sister Donna Naler of Blue Springs, Mo. He was a victim of homicide by poisoning.
